Our Emergency Department (ED) offers around-the-clock care, with 11 patient care units and a triage suite. Our expert team of physicians and nurses has been recognized for both patient satisfaction-90th percentile or higher nationally-and quality outcomes.
For patients who are seriously injured, Dosher's ED staff works in partnership with the regional trauma center at New Hanover Regional Medical Center to facilitate transfer and treatment when appropriate.
All full-time registered nurses are BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certified.
Dosher's ED staff participates in RACE-STEMI protocols.
The ED staff is well versed on disaster procedures and protocol. The hospital is an ongoing participant in multiple area-wide disaster preparedness drills annually.
