Marketing Director - Marketing / Community Relations
The Director of Marketing is responsible for development and implementation of the hospital's marketing, public relations, and communications efforts and proactively assumes responsibility and accountability for results.

•Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Healthcare marketing, supervisory role required
•Industry experience and community outreach experience preferred

Necessary skills:
•Knowledge of HIPAA, Stark Laws, and Regulatory policies strongly preferred
•Proficient in a variety of PC computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
•Proficient in traditional, digital and social media marketing
•Maintain strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations
•Highly developed oral and written communication skills with excellent public relations skills.
•Ability to work in a fast paced, multifaceted environment
•Ability to direct multiple projects and events from conception through implementation, and be able to change priorities as necessary
•Must be comfortable with public speaking and maintain a positive presence within the community

Functions of the Position:
•Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing services; manages the productivity of the marketing plans and projects and explores ways to improve existing revenue through usage of Dosher Memorial Hospital, its service lines and its providers. Tracks, measures and evaluates the results of marketing programs; recommends and executes changes to the plan for the purpose of increasing revenue and positive brand exposure.

•Conduct market research and analyze current market condition to determine market requirements for existing and future services. Monitor and analyze market trends and study competitors, partners and substitute products and services

•Leads public relations efforts, acts as chief media contact for hospital; interacts with outside media entities such as radio, television, newspaper; promotes news about Dosher and its service lines and providers to the media on a timely basis; is responsible for creation of press and media releases and after appropriate executive level review and approvals is responsible for dissemination of press and media releases and post-promotion of same.

•Leads periodic brand performance reviews, to ensure that brand strategies and performances remain on target in relation to overall corporate objectives. Schedules and participates in community engagement meetings to determine brand awareness and loyalty.

•Develops and oversees management of marketing budget. Ensures projects are completed on time, and on budget. Reconciles and reviews budget on a monthly basis

•Manages marketing and communications agency partners to produce campaigns within deadline and budgetary limits.

•Designs and develops programs and strategies to increase public awareness of the J. Arthur Dosher Hospital, its service line and its providers.

•Leads the development, writing and dissemination of informational collateral including newsletters, brochures, booklets, fliers, posters, and other collateral material to clinics, community centers, provider offices, and at community events, etc.

•Establishes and maintains relationships with other groups such as Dosher leadership, employees, providers, clinics, partners, community-based organizations and with individuals and advocacy groups,

•Identifies and coordinates Dosher attendance and participation in appropriate community events, volunteer, and sponsorship opportunities. Attends all community events in which Dosher sponsors or participates.

•Arranges meetings with stakeholders, trustees, etc as needed, setting agendas, and coordinates any follow-up activities. Serves on other committees, teams and task forces as required.

•Gathers, analyzes, and reports departmental statistical and operational performance improvement data, in a timely manner, to CEO, leadership team, and committees and trustees as appropriate. Recommends changes or adjustments as necessary to ensure attainment of budget goals.

•Plan and organize initiatives like demonstrations, seminars and conferences to increase service and product promotion participation and doctors' referrals.

•Support and participate in quality initiatives as required.

•Adhere to hospital and department policies and procedures.
