COOK - DIETARY
The Cook prepares and serves foods according to Local, State, and Federal guidelines and maintains dietetic services facilities, equipment, and utensils in a sanitary manner.
Is responsible for the tray setups for patients in a timely manner. Tasks include setup of work station assembly, delivery and retrieving of patient trays. Prepare trays based on the diet needs of each diet required, clean work station, equipment, dishes and flatware.
Needs to be able to function as a team member and work together to complete assigned shifts duties. Must be able to adapt to day to day changes in work flow. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with 1 year experience in institutional kitchens.
Necessary Skills: Knowledge of preparing and serving a variety of food in large quantities, principles of sanitation including health and safety practices and cleaning methods, maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/ regulation; Knowledge of institutional kitchens, utensils, and equipment and ability to operate same.
