COVID 19 Patient/Community Information

Since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, it has been the top priority of Dosher Memorial Hospital to keep our patients, staff, and visitors as safe as possible, at all times. We have adapted policies in both the hospital and our satellite clinic locations to reflect our commitment to your safety, and we continue to review and revise these measures as circumstances require. If you are concerned that you may have Coronavirus symptoms, or if you have had a known exposure to someone who recently tested positive for the Coronavirus, please contact your healthcare provider.

Hospital and Clinic Entrance Screenings

All patients and visitors coming to our hospital and clinics are required to take a survey before entering the premises in regard to COVID 19 symptoms or recent contact. All information will be kept confidential.

If you have a cell phone or smart device, you may begin the screening yourself before entering, however, a Dosher staff member must perform the temperature check for the submission to be valid. Please hold your questionnaire until your onsite temperature screening is complete.

COVID Testing

Please contact your Dosher primary care provider or Dosher Convenient Care at the Dosher Wellness Center if you are experiencing symptoms most closely related to COVID-19. Our clinic network and Convenient Care are administering tests for coronavirus to patients who meet our testing criteria. Patients are screened and evaluated beforehand to determine if a test is warranted.

Cash Price for COVID 19 Testing

Diagnostic tests for COVID-19 performed at a Dosher Hospital location will be billed at $150.00 per test.

COVID Vaccinations

In adherence with state guidelines, Novant Health, Dosher Memorial Hospital and Brunswick County Health Services are encouraging community members, ages 75 and older, who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine to sign up for a MyChart account. Community members eligible at this time for a vaccination will be notified through their MyChart account, through which they can then schedule their vaccination appointment.

Signing up for a MyChart Account does not mean you will immediately receive a notice to schedule an appointment. You will be contacted through your MyChart account and your registered email when you can schedule an appointment based on vaccine availability. We ask that you remain patient and trust the process as we work with our partners to schedule appointments as vaccines are available.

Recipients do not need to be affiliated with a specific healthcare system to sign up for MyChart or to receive a vaccination.

Due to limited vaccine availability, vaccinations will be by appointment only and at a centralized location in Brunswick County.

For a comprehensive overview of vaccine prioritization guidelines, please consult this infographic from the NC Department of Health and Human Services.

It is also very important to remember to not let down your guard because a vaccine is in the early stages of circulation! Please keep practicing the 3W's!
