Monday September 16th. All are welcome!
Release date: August 1, 2024
Dosher Memorial Hospital will hold a ribbon cutting to commemorate the arrival of their new courtesy shuttle on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 3:30 pm. The shuttle, which is operated by the Dosher Volunteers, transports patients and visitors from parking lots to the hospital entrance and back to their vehicles. Said Lynda Stanley, Dosher President and CEO, “For many, the ride on the Dosher Courtesy Shuttle to the entrance of our hospital marks the beginning of the extraordinary care we aim to provide every patient. We are grateful to have a friendly and committed group of volunteers who provide this important service to our community.”
The Dosher Volunteer Organization is an independent group of women and men formed in 1972, whose goal is to make the hospital experience as pleasant as possible for patients and their families. Driving the courtesy shuttle is one of many areas where Dosher Volunteers donate their time to enhance patient care.
The location of the ribbon cutting is the hospital front entrance, at 924 N. Howe St., Southport. All are welcome.
