Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation receives $50,000 grant from the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation

Release date: May 22, 2023

Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation announced that it is the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF) and the Rural Hospital Leadership and Workforce Development Selection Committee. The funds specifically will be used for the Workforce Courses for the Continuum of Care Project. Currently Dosher Memorial Hospital does not have one unified platform to deliver quality annual competencies to staff through a streamlined intervention. Employees have multiple systems they must access to ensure their certifications are current. The deployment of customized training and education through a bundled learning and training management system ensures content would be electronically delivered across the organization by all departments.

Said Dosher President and CEO Lynda Stanley, “We are grateful for the grant awarded to us by NCHA to help us streamline the delivery of continuing education units for staff. These funds will help us upgrade our current system and help support Dosher in our commitment to providing extraordinary care.

The Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation was established and began operating in March of 2010. The Foundation’s primary responsibility is to encourage a steady flow of funds to the hospital from individuals and organization within the hospital’s service area. These funds enable Dosher Hospital to continue providing its patients with the finest healthcare equipment, programs and services possible, as well as provide the resources necessary for construction expansion and remodeling projects.
