One of the most popular tourist and vacation destinations of coastal North Carolina is Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island is located just a short ferry ride across the Intracoastal Waterway from Southport.

Dosher Medical-Bald Head Island is a medical clinic providing care for residents and visitors of Bald Head Island during the summer months. The clinic will be open through Labor day for the 2024 season, and treats minor illnesses and injuries.

The clinic is located at the Village's Public Safety Building, at 253 Edward Teach Extension.

They are open on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00am-2:00pm on each of those days. Patients will consult a provider through state of the art telemedicine technology which will be managed by an onsite nurse or medical assistant from the Dosher clinical staff.
