Lead Ultrasound Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with standard operating procedures Accomplishes patient care in a timely, professional, efficient and safe manner. Presentation of detailed preliminary report to interpreting physician (Radiologist).
The Lead Sonographer role and responsibilities includes: Assist Imaging Director to ensure that staff professional education requirements are met and maintained, provide oversight for the assessment of sonography examinations performed within the department for technical and image quality standards, maintain ACR certification and function as the clinical, technical leader/ expert in sonography imaging within the imaging department. The Lead Sonographer activities are performed consistent with their education and training and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.
Successful completion of a accredited Ultrasonography program
ARDMS certification required
Three years previous experience (lead experience preferred)
