Newly Licensed Nurse Residency Program
Newly Licensed RN Program
Year-long program to support your transition from student to professional RN. Month long rotations in acute care, emergency, and perioperative nursing. Monthly training sessions
Qualifications:
- Completed a Nursing Degree (Diploma, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree) from an accredited nursing program prior to start date
- Successfully completed the NCLEX exam. Senior nursing students are eligible to apply before taking the exam, but if offered a position in the program, offers are contingent on passing the NCLEX
Possess an active nursing license in NC prior to employment start date in the Nursing Residency Program.
Assesses, plans, implements, & evaluates the nursing care of patients in various departments. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by CNAs, and Unit Secretaries. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Maintains role as a patient advocate with a focus on the hospital's mission. Demonstrates ethical and appropriate behavior. Demonstrates adherence to all policies and procedures. Follows the Nurse Practice Act.
2 year commitment upon acceptance of position.
