Clinical Informatics Specialist - Information Systems
Full-Time
The Clinical Informatics Specialist will report to and support the Information Systems Director with healthcare technology integration, implementation, and optimization to support clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes. This individual will collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and leadership to ensure effective use of electronic medical records (EMR) and other health information systems in a way that aligns with our health system's strategic goals.
Qualifications:
• RN experience with EHR - highly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree with formal study in Clinical Informatics - preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in nursing informatics or a related role
• Hands-on experience with EMRs; TruBridge or eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a plus
• Familiarity with clinical workflows and process improvement in a hospital or clinic setting
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):
• Provide support and training to staff on the use of EMR and other clinical systems
• Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to design and implement solutions that enhance patient care
• Analyze hospital and clinic workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and system utilization
• Lead efforts to transition to a unified EMR system in alignment with hospital and clinic goals
