All are welcomeRelease Date-October 27, 2026
SOUTHPORT — Dosher Memorial Hospital invites community members to attend a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Wednesday, December 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the hospital’s main lobby at 924 N. Howe Street, Southport. The event is intended to bring patients, families, staff, and the local community together to celebrate the spirit of the season. This event is free, and all are welcome. Hot chocolate and refreshments will be served.
“There’s something special about coming together as a community to kick off the holiday season,” said Dosher CEO Lynda Stanley. “We look forward to welcoming patients, families, staff, and neighbors for a festive and memorable evening.”
Everyone who attends will be entered into a drawing for a holiday dinner for four, catered by Chef Joe of the Dosher Cafe. Guests will receive their entry ticket when they arrive at the event, and a winner will be announced that evening.
Guests are also invited to get a head start on Dosher’s food drive, a curbside drop off event on December 3rd, by bringing nonperishable food donations to the tree lighting. Donations will be distributed to areas of greatest need throughout Brunswick County, helping local families in our community.
If you have any questions about this event, call the Dosher Department of Community Relations at 910-457-3900.
