Dosher Memorial Hospital is thrilled to announce that they will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Thursday December 11th to commemorate the opening of their new Emergency Department, a major milestone made possible through the incredible support of the township tax and dedicated staff. The new 8,000 square foot Dosher Emergency Department, which is set to open in early December, will be double the size of the current ED, will have increased patient capacity and is designed to streamline provider workflow in order to enhance patient care. The construction of a new Emergency Department was first announced in April 2023 along with several other hospital and clinic expansion and renovation projects, as part of Phase 1 of the Dosher Master Facility Plan. The ribbon cutting and open house will take place on Thursday December 11th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the new Emergency Department, which stands at the corner of North Howe and East 9th Streets in Southport. Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
