Dosher Celebrates National Hospital Week
Release date: May 7, 2026
National Hospital Week is an opportunity to highlight hospitals, healthcare workers, and the important work they do to support their patients. Taking place this year from May 10-May 16, Dosher Memorial Hospital plans to celebrate the week through staff appreciation activities and recognition of their commitment to the health and wellness of the community they serve.
Said Dosher President and CEO Lynda Stanley, “We are proud of our hospital, and appreciate the hard work that our team puts in to provide safe, high quality care for our patients. We are also grateful for the support of our community and the opportunity to provide you with extraordinary care close to home.”
While the care a hospital provides can be life-saving, the impact of a hospital on their local community extends beyond the treatment they offer patients. Hospitals serve as economic engines by creating jobs, supporting other businesses, and generating significant economic activity. Based on a 2025 study conducted by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Dosher’s total economic impact amounts to $95.8 million. Said Stanley, “We value the opportunity to contribute to the financial well-being of local families and businesses while providing high quality care.”
While Dosher’s Hospital Week celebration focuses on employees, their upcoming Community Cookout on Saturday June 6th is open to all. Dosher looks forward to celebrating local healthcare with staff, trustees, volunteers, patients, friends, and neighbors at this time. Call 910-457-3900 to RSVP or go to Dosher.org/birthday.
