Release date: June 25, 2026
Dosher Memorial Hospital Occupational Therapist Conner Taylor recently earned her Lymphedema Certification through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies.
As a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Mrs. Taylor will treat and educate patients in Dosher’s Lymphedema Clinic to help them manage their condition more effectively. Mrs. Taylor, who joined the Dosher Therapy Team in 2025, has been an Occupational Therapist for five years. Mrs. Taylor has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Exercise Science and minor in psychology from Longwood University in Farmville, VA and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. She looks forward to helping her Lymphedema patients regain quality of life through treatment, education, and self-management.
“We congratulate Conner on achieving her certification in lymphedema therapy and applaud her commitment to advancing her clinical expertise,” said Dosher President and CEO Lynda Stanley. “Investing in professional growth is one of the many ways our team ensures patients receive the highest quality care close to home. This specialized training will enhance the services available to our community and help improve outcomes for patients managing lymphedema. Conner’s accomplishment reflects the culture of excellence, lifelong learning, and patient-centered care that defines Dosher.”
Lymphedema care is the treatment to reduce inflammation often caused by radiation therapy, certain surgeries, poor blood circulation, and other health conditions and involves manual lymphatic drainage and compression bandaging. With Mrs. Taylor earning her lymphedema certification, Dosher now has three certified Lymphedema Therapists who work closely with other departments in the hospital, including the Dosher Wound Care Center to integrate services available to the community.
