The Medical Staff Services office performs office services for Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professionals as well as managing the credentialing and OPPE (Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation) processes.

CREDENTIALING PROCESS
All providers interested in being on staff should initially contact Dr. William Newsom, Chair Credentials Committee.

Applicants and Reappointments
NOTE: It is your responsibility to complete your application. Dates of membership privileges depend on your complete application as well as upcoming Credentials, MEC and Board dates.
Our Medical Staff system is based with MDStaff. The MDApp part of the process is where you start with your application. All questions can be filled out online. Document can be printed and downloaded into the FILE section of your applications.
You will be sent an email with a link to the application. The link will be only active for 24 hours due to security reasons. You should check your email and SPAM box for the MDSTaff/MDApp email.
If you need a fellow staff member assist, you can grant permission to that person to assist in completing the application. However, all the information submitted is your responsibility for accuracy and timeliness.
There are required fields. If you have any issues, please call the MSO/Administration at 910-457-3910.
The privileges you have requested will be attached to your application. If you need to request additional procedures, it will have to go through the New Procedures Committee. Please contact the MSO Office for direction. Procedure lists will be required for initial applications and reappointment- upon request.
PROCESSING TIME:
Our standard processing time is approximately 90 days from a completed accepted application submission.
If there are areas that are missing from your applications, it will be electronically returned to you for completion.
Any delay in processing due to an incomplete application may jeopardize your privileges at Dosher. It is your responsibility to provide a completed application and all necessary supporting documents in a timely manner to the Medical Staff Office.
In addition to the application documents, you may be requested to provide proof of competency. The reapplication process may include a Peer Review. Should additional documentation be needed, you will be contacted during this process.
MEDICAL STAFF MEMBERSHIP
Medical Staff membership will be confirmed by the Board of Trustees. Notification of approval(s) will be made following a Board Meeting.
Reappointments are made for 2 year periods.
NEW PRACTITIONER ORIENTATION
Once you have been approved for membership, you must proceed to this link to complete your form and Orientation. Please return the signed form to the Medical Staff Office. You cannot start in the hospital or clinics without completing orientation.
