Board elects 3 officers; welcomes 2 new members

Last month, the Dosher Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees re-elected Sherri Marshall (left in 1st photo) as board chair. Also elected to one-year terms as officers were Karen Taylor (center in 1st photo), elevated from board secretary to vice chair, and Joe Agovino (right in 1st photo), who succeeds Taylor as secretary.
In other board news, Rev. Jim White and Scott Starks, MD (in 2nd photo) have begun six-year terms on the board of Trustees. They were elected by voters of Smithville Township in November. White, a retired Presbyterian minister from Oak Island, was elected after filling the unexpired term of Don Hughes on an appointed basis for five months. White had been chair of the Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation Board. Dr. Starks, a retired orthopedic surgeon who lives on Bald Head Island, succeeds Debbie Barnes who rotated off the board after completing a six-year term.
