Patient Accounts Manager - Patient Accounts
Full-Time
The Manager is responsible for maximizing the collection of hospital and clinic medical services payments and reimbursements from patients, insurance carriers, financial aid, and guarantors. Responsible for insurance eligibility processes, charge processing, claim submission and processing, payment processing, collections and accounts receivable management, denial management, reporting of results and analysis, concurrent and retrospective auditing, proper coding, credentialing, insurance contract review and oversight, customer services relative to revenue cycle, training and development relative to revenue cycle, analytics, and all other revenue cycle management activities of Dosher Memorial
Hospital.
He/She utilizes knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and systems, and uses skills in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising. He/She must work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, public, and external agencies, and have skills in gathering and interpreting data. He/She must have ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision making, and problem solving expertise.
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor Degree in Health, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent in work experience
Experience:
• Minimum of five (5) years of medical revenue cycle management experience
• Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience
• Overall revenue cycle experience
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):
1. Develop, monitor, and analyze budget and financial information and utilize all resources in an effective and economical manner
2. Develop standards and provide systems to monitor and evaluate physician office functions and assume responsibility for designing methods to improve functions
3. Demonstrate appropriate competency in selected skills which are pertinent to areas of responsibility; including TruBridge and eCW
4. Develop and implement staffing standards for hospital and clinic programs with effective, economical use of resources. Monitor staffing and attendance in compliance with standards
5. Define and implement annual hospital goals in keeping with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.
