Provider Enrollment & Credentialing Specialist
Full-Time
Plays a critical dual role in supporting both provider enrollment and patient access to affordable healthcare services. This position will be responsible for provider credentialing and payer enrollment activities while serving as a trusted resource for patients navigating financial assistance programs, insurance coverage, and payment options.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in provider enrollment, credentialing, payer enrollment, revenue cycle operations, or related healthcare administration
- Experience working with government and commercial payer enrollment processes preferred
Certifications:
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):
- Verify provider credentials, including licenses, education, training, board certifications, and work history through primary source verification
- Coordinate provider onboarding, payer enrollment, credentialing, and re-credentialing activities
- Serve as the organization's primary resource for provider enrollment and credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers
- Prepare and present enrollment status reports, metrics, and update to Revenue Cycle Leadership
