Utility Mechanic
Full-Time (40 hours)
Performs general and preventative maintenance throughout the hospital and hospital owned off-site properties. Responsibility of monitoring all utility conditions.
Qualifications:
●High school graduate or equivalent, trade school preferred
●Five (5) years of experience in utilities
Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list):
●Assist with preventative maintenance on equipment by inspecting equipment and facilities for proper operation and working condition. Maintain routine records and determine type/extent of malfunction and as necessary: adjust, disassemble, and repair/replace parts or components, reassemble, and test for proper operation. Report more serious problems to the Director of Plant Operations for instructions or maintenance scheduling.
●Assist with responding to all calls. Complete work orders for routine and emergency repairs. Complete repairs and document services rendered.
●Attend to steam boilers, hot water boilers and heaters. Make necessary adjustments to assure proper steam pressure, combustion, water flow, water level, and proper operation of safety devices and auxiliary equipment.
