Dosher Volunteers Announce 2026 Scholarship Recipients

The Dosher Volunteers Organization announced the winners of their 2026 Health Service Education Grants. Each student will receive a scholarship for $5,000.00 toward tuition and supplies for the 2026-2027 school year. The recipients are as follows:
1. Meredith Dillard, RN, a Dosher Memorial Hospital Wound Care Center staff member pursuing further nursing education at Capella University.
2. Whitnee Moesch Monday, a Patient Care Tech on the Dosher Memorial Hospital Patient Care Unit pursuing a nursing degree at Brunswick Community College.
3. Johnathan Chisholm-Brower, a 2025 graduate of South Brunswick High School. Johnathan attends Lenoir-Rhyne University, majoring in physical therapy/sports medicine.
The Health Service Education Grant is awarded annually by the Dosher Volunteers, and is open to students pursuing training in a health-related field. Applicants must be Brunswick County High School graduates or Dosher Hospital employees. Information and applications are available December each year through guidance counselors at their high school and Brunswick Community College, or from the Chief Nursing Officer’s office at the hospital.
The Dosher Volunteers Organization is an independent group of women and men formed in 1972, whose goal is to make the hospital experience as pleasant as possible for patients and their families. The Dosher Volunteers have been funding educational grants for health care industry students for many years.
